Luncheon Club

For those of you that don’t know anything about our luncheon clubs, let me tell you a bit about them.

The luncheon club is for ladies and gentlemen over the age of 60 and starts at 11.00am, so most people start arriving at around 10.45am and have a cup of tea and a biscuit before the activity begins.

To give you an idea of what to expect - some of the activities we ran over the last 12 months have included Bingo, Card Making, Quizzes, Movies and Holistic Therapies, Skittle Bowling and much, much more.

The activity usually lasts for around 1 hour but once a month we will show a movie, so on these days you will find that the activity session can last anything up to 3 hours.

Once the activity has finished you can make your way to the Starr Café where you will be treated to a home cooked meal, freshly prepared on the premises that morning. Then why not indulge yourself with one of our fabulous desserts?

The total cost for the activity and the meal is £6.50, however if you just want the meal, it is £4.50 and the activity on its own is only £2.00.

Funding allowing we also hope to be able to set up a virtual luncheon club for those members who are currently unable to attend at the centre and we will update this page when we have some further information
