Let's Celebrate

With Quinborne in the early planning stages of a 2025 celebration day we thought we would give you an idea of previous celebrations days and what you can expect if you attend.

Anyone who attended our 80th birthday will remember the day was a great success which was helped by the fantastic weather and brilliant atmosphere that was generated by everyone who attended.

The event was officially opened by the then Lord Mayor, Councillor Anne Underwood however the Lord Mayor wasn’t the only dignitary we had onsite during the day, we also had visits from Preet Gill M.P, Councillor John Clancy, Councillor Kate Booth and Councillor Matthew Gregson. We would like to thank them all for their support.

Also, on-site during the day was Mo Safer from Animals In Hands who brought a great collection reptiles and owls with him, On The Edge who supplied live music and Gail from Squiggles who created some fantastic balloon sculptures, she even managed to paint some faces, and Josephina Taylor provided the fantastic sweeties.

We also had great support from, Fleur, Coventry Building Society, Health Watch Birmingham, St Faith & St Lawrence Church, Una Smith’s Art Group, Raven Bridge Club, Dom at the Gritty Theatre, Recorded Music, Kevin Ryan’s Art Class, Emma from Adult Education and Harborne Gym.

We were also very fortunate to have Made In Birmingham TV on-site who did a fantastic piece on Quinborne for their Lowdown programme and we must thank @GeorgeHancorn and his cameraman for the way they made Quinborne look.
